POKER AND KICKBALL TOURNAMENT
When: Saturday, August 19th, 7:30-10:00pm
Where: BVW Commons and Gym
Coach Wright will have an important parent meeting for all Jag Football parents at 6:30pm prior to the start of these activities.
The Red Zone is sponsoring a Silent Auction, Poker Tournament and Kickball Tournament on Saturday, August 19th. All proceeds benefit the players during the upcoming football season. This event is open to the BVW community, family, alumni, and friends.
The Poker Tournament will be Texas Hold'em style poker. The entry fee is $25.00. $100.00 gift certificates will be awarded to the Top 4 players. The tournament is open to the first 200 players on a first come basis. Bring your friends and neighbors for a fun night of poker!
The Kickball tournament will consist of 6 players, 3 boys and 3 girls. The entry fee is $18.00 per team ($3.00 per player). Pre-registration is required. Teams will play for 15 minutes and the team scoring the most points will advance to the championship game at 8:45. The championship game will be against the football coaches. Prizes will be given to the winning team.
The Silent Auction is our main fundraiser of the year. If you have anything you would like to donate to the fundraiser, please e-mail Diane Besler at dibesler@kc.rr.com . We rely on donations from our Red Zone families to make the auction a success. No donation is too small! It can be your time, talent or treasure!
Drinks will be provided at the event by the Red Zone. If your last name begins with A-K, please bring an appetizer, L-Z please bring a dessert.
If you would like to be a corporate sponsor of Jaguar Football, please e-mail or call Diane Besler . The cost is $200.00. Your business logo will be printed on the back of all home game programs along with PA announcements during the game and 2 game passes to all the home games. The deadline to submit your sponsorship is August 1st.
Last but not least, the Red Zone and Applebee's are working together to support Jaguar Football. We have designated 5 nights as "Dine and Donate" nights at the Applebee's on 151st Street. Ten per cent of your total bill will be donated back to the football team. The dates are Aug. 14th and 15th, Sept. 11th, Oct 9th and Nov 13th. (The 2nd Monday of each month). This offer is good all day and night and to all BVW families. Let's make it a fun outing for our players and families.
Thank you to all who have already returned their RZ membership dues! To those who would like to mail it in, the dues are $30.00. A big thank you also goes out to all who have been working hard on the auction and tournaments.
