2006 Blue Spring High School HogWars CHAMPIONS
June 24, 2006 - The Blue Valley West Jaguar lineman team traveled to Blue Springs for the annual Lineman's Challenge, otherwise known as HogWars. The Lineman's Challenge is designed to test speed, agility, strength, and determination; the fundamental qualities of any successful football line, and the backbone of a successful football team.

Down on all fours. More difficult than it looks.
The long snap. A good team work exercise as well.
The boy's favorite. Nothing big guys like better than hurdles.
Sprint down the field, turn the corner, and knock down the bag.
Medicine ball throw strength test, with a twist. You start by sitting in the shot put circle with your feet against the barrier, take the ball over your head and throw it as far as you can. 
Bench press strength test. 
Running the cones. 
Another staple of lineman's drills. 
Start from a three point stance, run a sprint , and oh yes, pick up a football off the turf along the way. 
One very happy young man.
